Kathy Six
Kathy Six is a Fruitport, MI native. She graduated in 1981 from Fruitport Community Schools and attended GVSU where first she received her bachelor's degree and later her master's. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two wonderful children who have their own families. Kathy was an elementary teacher for 30 years. Always an author but unable to pursue writing due to time constraints, has begun to bring characters to life. She is excited to bring these stories to readers.

The Magic Penny is a magical story about a magical land where a penny can bring you your greatest wishes. Each boy selects someone with the true Christmas spirit. Both boys learn a lesson in the value of people over things. Included in this special story is a penny and "magic" powder for the child to turn their own penny into a magical coin to be shared.
I Want to Be... is a delightful story about a young mongoose who wishes to be other animals around him. As he declares each animal having better qualities than himself, his mother guides him to an exceptional animal that he would likely most wish to be. In the end, the little mongoose is lead to the river to see this wonderful animal and discovers he is looking at his own reflection.
The Cellar is a chapter book set during WWII in Slovakia, where a young boy named Ludvik is presented with a unique and frightening situation. He discovers a hidden stow away Jewish girl named Helene in his cellar and he must decide what to do to save her life. As Ludvik seeks out answers, he creates an alliance with a schoolmate, Nanette, and together, they create a plan to save Helene. The story is an edge of your seat page turner for children and adults.
